From beginning to end, this year’s harbor cruise was spooky and magical. As guests waited to board, squirrels and bunnies scurried about feeding on the grass at the Channel Islands Harbor.
Lovely fall weather graced the Halloween Ghost Ship, with Quilt Project Gold Coast raising funds to help in our education and awareness-raising for the year ahead!
With the evening dedicated to the memory of Supervisory Susan Lacey, the paddlewheel Scarlett Belle cruised the Channel Islands with an expanded show from stars BellaDonna SantaBarbara, Angel D’Mon and Melina Poinsettia.
A scrumptious smorgasbord, and dessert from The Little Things Bakery, satisfied many appetites, and costumes were awarded with trophies from Santa Barbara Trophy, with guests leaving at the end of the 3-hour cruise with a swag-bag filled with goodies curated by Decorations Chair Ron Oehler.
Johnny Ortez-Tibbels took amazing photographs including our haunted ghost ship backdrop, and Steve Zambrano Jr once again handled the drawing
Masters of Ceremony Keith Coffman-Grey and Neil Coffman-Grey welcomed guests and sponsors, and conducted both the trophy contest and drawing prizes throughout the evening. The fall sunset provided a spectacular backdrop to Johnny’s pictures, and DJ Steve choreographed the evening flawlessly.
Additional thanks to Cindy Copeland Burrell for her splendid calligraphy board featuring our sponsors, and costume contest winner Cindy Hazlett for helping with setup!
