On June 14, Quilt Project Gold Coast volunteers coordinated by Boardmember Cindy Copeland Burrell worked in partnership with the Camarillo Public Library to host an interactive Quilt display with a presentation from Mark Lager in the library’s Community Room.
With AIDS Memorial Quilts displayed around the large room and Quilts for life partners Dominick Parisi and Eugene Weren placed side by side for the first time, Mark first gave a PowerPoint history of the National AIDS Quilt, as well as QPGC’s own history, before attendees learned the ins and outs of quilting from QPGC volunteers, led by Celia Ortenberg.
Thank you to our volunteers for raising awareness about HIV and AIDS in Ventura County!
