During October, QPGC ran a bilingual public service announcement (PSA) on social media that reached over 31,000 people in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties with a safer sex message. It was the most liked and shared PSA in Quilt Project’s five years of running them.

Also during the entire month, the Santa Barbara district office of Sen. Monique Limon, herself an AIDS activist, displayed the Mitch Kincannon Quilt to raise awareness that HIV/AIDS is still in the Gold Coast.
