Pride Summer continued in July and August, with Ventura Pride on July 25.
QPGC displayed a number of Quilts at Plaza Park, and many thanks to Steve Somann and his team for our booth placement at the very center of the festival.
For the first time, Pacific Pride Foundation and the City of Santa Barbara put up the Pride Flag on Aug. 17, with QPGC President Keith Coffman-Grey among the day’s speakers
The City has for years issued proclamations for Pride, but with limits on flag displays, this year they worked with PPF to amend those restrictions and raise the Progress Pride banner.
The Pride festival itself took place on August 22, with a display of nearly 50 Quilts and our QPGC booth near the festival entrance.
Additionally, Pacific Pride honored QPGC with its 2026 Pride Resilience Award for our service to the community, which Keith and Treasurer Neil Coffman-Grey accepted on behalf of Quilt Project Gold Coast.
Thousands of people were able to view our Quilts throughout the summer in the Central Coast, and QPGC extends our thanks to all of our hosts this year for their hospitality.
