Quilt Project Gold Coast (QPGC) wishes everyone a very happy summer, and as you can see above our masthead, we want to thank MARC GOLDMAN for his generous sponsorship of this quarter’s Stitch’n Times.
We are offering sponsorships for the Fall and Winter editions of The Stitch’n Times, and sponsors can enjoy in addition to our front-page gratitude a YEAR’S WORTH OF CARD-SIZED ADS in our quarterly newsletter, which reaches over 400 people, as well as our e-newsletter, which reaches 550.
We’ve received numerous questions about the status of our harbor cruise, and are happy to report that the cruises’ core coordinators are really excited about returning to Channel Islands Harbor in 2026 after taking this year off so we can return with a refreshed outlook on our signature event.
We were very busy this spring attending Pride festivals and displaying Quilts in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. Our minute-long Pride Month public service announcement on social media had over 56,000 views(!) reminding people to stay safe and play safe during June and throughout the year.
Our Quilting bees with our dedicated volunteers continue to create new panels on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at UU Church of Ventura, 5654 Ralston Street in Ventura, from 6:30-8:30, and anyone interested is more than welcome! Enter Berg Hall from the back parking lot.
QPGC will be at the Ventura Pride Festival on Aug. 16, as well as the Santa Barbara Pride Festival on Aug. 23. In Santa Barbara we’re working with Pacific Pride Foundation for a very special Quilt display that will be our largest ever in Santa Barbara County (see “Gallery of Quilts,” p.4).
QPGC is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit and would not exist without your support. If you want to underwrite future editions of The Stitch’n Times, please contact Neil for rates at quiltprojectgoldcoast@gmail.com.
