On World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, 2025, Quilt Project Gold Coast held its annual observance on the steps of City Hall in Ventura to remember those lost to AIDS. Pastor Erik Halseth of UU Church of Ventura and Bp. Manny Edgar-Beltran offered invocations, and I’ve Seen Better Elephants performed a musical selection.

The City of Ventura also issued a proclam-ation for World AIDS Day, which was read to the 50+ people in attendance, and Board officers Keith Coffman-Grey and Mark Lager also spoke.
The display of dozens of Quilts began at 2pm, with many QPGC volunteers helping to set up, and the City of Ventura graciously provided battery-powered candles for use during the observance.

The City of Ventura also presented the official proclamation to Keith at one of its council meetings, as did the County Board of Supervisors.
