World AIDS Day Commemoration 2023

On Friday, December 1, World AIDS Day was observed, and QPGC held its annual World AIDS Day Display from 2 to 5:30 pm and Candlelight Vigil from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Ventura City Hall, with battery-powered candles provided by the City of Ventura. Andy Edgar-Beltran of the folk/rock duo I’ve Seen Better Elephants performed a musical number, and officiants from across Ventura County held an invocation, including Rev. Melissa Campbell Langdell, Bp. Manny Edgar-Beltran, Deacon Joel Chan, and Rev. Dana Worsnop. Additionally, City Councilman Doug Halter read the City proclamation declaring World AIDS Day.
